About
Our Vision
Statement:
To grow as an involved Body of Christ
reaching out to youth, families, inactive
members, and the unchurched community
encouraging educational opportunities
through youth activities, small groups,
workshops and outreach events serving the
needs of the Church and the
Community.
Our
Mission:To
invite and welcome all people to come to
Jesus Christ and communicate God's word
while becoming disciples through the Holy
Spirit
Our
History:
The present church building was built in
1895. The Presbyterian Church and lot to
the west were purchased in 1960 to make
room for the educational wing. Two vacant
buildings to the north of the church were
purchased in 1999 for outreach
programs. Since then one of the
buildings has been completely remodeled
into the Almost Free Shop, operated by the
UMW. The store sells donated clothing
and household items to serve the
needs of the community.
The
other building, the Activity Center, has
also been completely remodeled.
KAMA, SHARE, Good Samaritan Free Clinic,
Habitat for Humanities and
other community service organizations
use the outreach mission center to serve
the needs of the
community.
