Montgomery
Street Preschool, an educational
outreach ministry of the First
United Methodist Church, exists
to provide high quality early
childhood education from a
faith-based perspective to
children of Knoxville and its
surrounding area. Classes are
offered for three through five
year olds.

YOUR
CHILD LEARNS BY
DOING
We believe that children
learn best in an environment
where they have "hands on"
experiences. Through learning
centers, children grow
fundamental skills needed for
further growth in language arts,
mathematical thinking, science,
creative arts, and other
areas.These centers encourage
problem solving, self discipline,
independence and responsibility,
giving children the opportunity
to learn about cooperation, gain
respect for others, and grow in
confidence.

YOUR
CHILD IS A UNIQUE CHILD OF
GOD
Our
philosophy centers on the belief
that each child is a unique
creation of God. We believe that
it is important for the child to
be encouraged toward a healthy
self-image and an appreciation of
him/herself as a member of both a
family and a broader community.
Montgomery Street Preschool is
ecumenical and is thus supportive
of children of all
faiths.
