United
Methodists come in all sizes, shapes,
colors, dispositions, outlooks and life
stories, but share a unique history and
faith perspective. Our members speak
many languages and live in many
countries.

Here at Upper Room Ministries, we say,
"Every Day - Find a Way." We invite you,
every day, to find a way to spend some
time with God in reading, prayer, and
meditation.

UMCOR addresses hunger, poverty,
sustainable agriculture, international and
domestic emergencies, refugee and
immigrant concerns, global health issues,
and transitional development. United
Methodist hearts and hands are part of
every program implemented.

Welcome to SHARE Iowa's home on the Web.
We're a community service and food
program.
We've got information for folks who are
new to SHARE, such as a description of our
food packages and a list of all of our
SHARE locations.

Alcoholics Anonymous® is a
fellowship of men and women who share
their experience, strength and hope with
each other that they may solve their
common problem and help others to recover
from alcoholism. The only requirement for
membership is a desire to stop drinking.
There are no dues or fees for AA
membership; we are self-supporting through
our own contributions. AA is not allied
with any sect, denomination, politics,
organization or institution; does not wish
to engage in any controversy, neither
endorses nor opposes any causes. Our
primary purpose is to stay sober and help
other alcoholics to achieve
sobriety.

For over 55 years, Al-Anon (which
includes Alateen for younger members)
has been offering strength and hope
for friends and families of problem
drinkers. It is estimated that each
alcoholic affects the lives of at least
four other people... alcoholism is truly a
family disease. No matter what
relationship you have with an alcoholic,
whether they are still drinking or not,
all who have been affected by someone
else's drinking can find solutions that
lead to serenity in the Al-Anon/Alateen
fellowship.

We are a nonprofit, ecumenical
Christian
ministry founded
on the conviction that every man, woman
and child should have a decent, safe and
affordable place to live. We build with
people in need regardless of race or
religion. We welcome volunteers and
supporters from all backgrounds.

Neighbors walking together to take a stand
against hunger in our world. Together we
raise awareness and funds for
international relief and development, as
well as fighting local hunger.
